Akerman is seeking a Legal Document Specialist to join their team. The working hours will be 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Eastern Time (Monday through Friday), with a mandatory on-call rotation weekend schedule. Working with all offices, the successful candidate will must be tech savvy with a minimum of 5 years' experience and thrives in a fast-paced law firm environment. In addition to being organized and able to multitask, this role will provide helpdesk support and general office support. Candidates considered must work well under pressure and be a strong team player. This is a fully remote position.
Requirements:
- Ability to follow departmental procedures and understand instructions specific to the assigned task.
- Proficient in Windows 10, MS Word 2016/365 a must, along with Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Best Case, Best Authority, iManage and any additional software needed.
- Excellent document skills, including formatting and styling documents, creating TOC's and TOA's, conversion/formatting of documents and transcriptions.
- Stay abreast of technology and software changes within the firm in order to be an expert in document preparation.
- Troubleshoot document issues.
- Maintain open and professional communication with staff, attorneys and managers.
- Provide helpdesk support functions to troubleshoot software applications questions.
- Experience with an incident ticketing system is desired.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 (Actual salary is based on experience and job qualifications.)
