About the Role
Cameo Consulting Group is seeking a Litigation Technology Specialist to support the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) in Boston, MA. This role is critical for managing electronic discovery, trial exhibits, and litigation databases in federal cases. You will work directly with attorneys, paralegals, and case teams to ensure seamless case preparation and courtroom technology operations.
Contract Duration:
- Base Year: 12 months
- Option Years: 3 additional 12-month periods (potential 4-year total)
Key Responsibilities:
E-Discovery & Data Management:
- Process ESI (PDFs, emails, spreadsheets) for discovery and trial.
- Generate Bates-numbered productions, redact files, and perform quality control.
- Manage litigation databases (e.g., Relativity, Everlaw, Trial Director).
Courtroom Technology Support:
- Prepare electronic exhibits for trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Set up/testing courtroom presentation software (e.g., Trial Director).
- Train legal staff on litigation technology tools
Project Coordination:
- Track project timelines, resources, and equipment (scanners, printers).
- Maintain records of case materials and ensure security compliance.
Technical Tasks:
- Edit audio/video files (clipping, redaction, format conversion).
- Scan hard-copy documents and organize digital files.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or related field preferred).
Experience:
- Proficiency with litigation software (e.g., Relativity, Ipro Eclipse, LAW PreDiscovery).
- Ability to learn legal terminology and federal court procedures.
- Strong data analysis, database management, and troubleshooting skills.
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Basic audio/video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Camtasia – preferred).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Organizational skills to manage high-pressure deadlines.
Compliance:
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass DOJ background investigation.
- Willingness to sign confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements.
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior federal/government litigation support experience.
- Certifications in e-discovery or project management (e.g., RCA, CEDS).
- Experience with:
- NUIX, Everlaw, or similar ESI tools.
- Creating demonstrative exhibits for trials.
- Training legal teams on technology.
Work Environment:
- Schedule: 40 hours/week (Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM). Limited telework.
- Location: On-site at USAO-District of Massachusetts (1 Courthouse Way, Boston).
- Travel: Local/non-local travel possible (pre-approved and reimbursed).
Contract Details:
- Period of Performance: Base year (2025–2026) + 4 option years.
