The salary range above represents this position’s earning potential. The anticipated hiring range for this position will be $57,596 per year to $85,194 per year, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
WHO WE ARE
The Office of the County Attorney provides legal advice and representation to all County departments, agencies, instrumentalities, boards and commissions, including the County Council, and all their employees. The Office also provides legal defense for cases involving Montgomery County and other governmental entities which participate in the Montgomery County Self-Insurance Program (including the Board of Education for Montgomery County, Montgomery College, and the Housing Opportunities Commission) and all their employees.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to support the operational and financial functions of the Office of the County Attorney. The ideal candidate will have experience managing accounts payable processes, including invoice and reimbursement processing, requisitions, and purchase orders, as well as overseeing purchasing activities and reconciliations as a p-card custodian. This individual will be skilled in preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating administrative services such as telecommunications and office logistics. Additionally, the candidate will possess strong communication and analytical skills to assist in drafting and processing responses to legal notices and claims, while effectively collaborating with internal departments and external vendors in a fast-paced government environment.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Processing and submitting approved invoices and employee reimbursements for payment according to County policies and procedures
- Process and submit requisition and purchase order requests
- Responsible for purchases and reconciliation as p-card custodian
- Prepare various financial reports and maintain department financial and facility records
- Work with other County departments and outside vendors to coordinate various office support services, including telecommunications, office moves and renovations, and similar services
- Draft and process response to notices of claims and preservation requests submitted against Self-Insurance Fund members, and maintain related records.

- Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Experience: Four (4) years of progressively responsible office support experience.
Education: Graduation from high school or High School Certificate of completion recognized in the State of Maryland.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted.
