Associate – Law Firm – NYC

Our client a reputable law firm based in NYC is seeking an Associate to join their growing legal team. This role is full-time in office 5days per week. The compensation range is ($225K-$250K). Juris Doctor is required. Federal Clerkship is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare substantive legal filings, including motions to dismiss and other case-dispositive pleadings
• Perform in-depth legal research and support overall litigation and appellate strategies
• Contribute across all stages of discovery, including drafting requests and overseeing document productions
• Assist with deposition preparation and take part in witness examinations
• Draft briefs, internal memoranda, and client-facing communications
• Provide support during hearings, trials, and appellate matters
• Collaborate closely with partners on complex, high-visibility cases

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from a highly ranked law school (Top 25 strongly preferred)
• Top 10% of graduating class (ranking to be confirmed)
• Prior federal judicial clerkship required
• 1–3 years of litigation experience, including clerkship experience
• Outstanding writing, research, and analytical abilities
• Strong academic background (law review or similar experience preferred)

Admission to the New York Bar or eligibility for immediate admission
