Job Description

Description
Assists with coordinating contracts for grant program, purchases, materials, products and/or services by examining performance requirements, delivery schedules, and estimates of costs and production to ensure adherence to contractual agreements. Assists with preparing and reviewing proposals, MOU’s, vendor contracts, grant contracts, and process specifications. Serves as a liaison between department(s), District Attorney’s Office, grantor agencies and contracting entities.

Responsibilities
1. Assists in coordinating, monitoring and evaluating contractual activities by:
 documenting contractual progress and compliance,
 notifying service providers of discrepancies, and
 resolving compliance issues occurring in the performance of contracts. 30 E

2. Communicates with other County departments and serves as a primary liaison to service providers and grantor agencies to answer questions, resolve problems, provide on-going training/technical assistance and develop corrective action as needed.

3. Coordinates the contractual process by:
 researching and compiling data,
 developing, reviewing, amending contracts, and
 preparing related briefs and court orders.

4. Coordinates, tracks and monitors contract/agreement processing and works closely with the District Attorney’s Office to resolve questions related to contract and performance.

5. Assists with preparing and reviewing proposals and contracts.

6. May assist in processing requests for payment, budget preparation, monitoring contractual communication from external agencies and completes various reports. 05 E

7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education, Experience and Training:
Education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a job related field of study. One (1) year work related experience.

Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Working knowledge of contracts negotiations, needs assessments, program evaluation and performance monitoring. Ability to exercise sound judgment, flexibility, initiative and commitment in an environment of rapid change. Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License. Juvenile: Must pass extensive background investigation.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Standard office environment. May be required to travel to various work sites.
