Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 12 states with over 3,000 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States.

We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.

Rogers Group is currently seeking a Corporate Paralegal to sit out of our Nashville, TN office. This position will be reporting directly to the General Counsel and Secretary Vice President. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Administrative duties include processing and submitting legal bills for payment, entering expenses (for reimbursement or in connection with use of company p-card) into Oracle and filing of backup documentation.
  • Preparing board and shareholder meeting minutes.
  • Preparing and submitting state and private prequalification applications.
  • Preparing and submitting licenses to do business in new states.
  • Maintenance of corporate formalities documents.
  • Secretary of State filings to maintain corporate existence (including as foreign corporation).
  • Drafting basic legal documents (correspondence, affidavits, secretary’s certificates, confidentiality agreements, etc.).
  • Assist in recording and maintaining real property records.
  • Assist with filing and document retention of acquisition, real estate and construction contracts.
  • Other paralegal tasks as time allows.

Requirements:

  • Prefer bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a legal environment.
  • Experienced in use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Prefer experience in Adobe and Oracle.
  • Attention to detail and proofreading skills are essential.
