Do you have experience organizing and managing projects and a desire to help people receive the legal services they need to succeed? Position Overview
The Legal Team is a small, busy collaborative team that serves as Ascendium’s in-house law firm. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dynamic, and collaborative to join our team. The new team member will play a key project-management role in several Legal team initiatives, including potentially the Law for Learners AmeriCorps justice worker program and other access to justice initiatives, litigation, information governance, and other projects. Duties will include project planning, execution and management, litigation tracking and reporting, drafting letters and reports, along with some key administrative functions.

- Assist with organization and implementation of Legal team initiatives, projects, and
- Support other executive officers or departments, as assigned by General
- Contribute to collegial, collaborative team
- Work on special projects or other duties as
- Five or more years of relevant experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, project manager, or in a role that involved overseeing a significant initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and excel in project management and oversight of multiple initiatives independently and without significant oversight.
- Strong analytic, oral, and written communication skills including
- writing experience with a solid foundation of grammar rules and
- training/speaking experience with a knack for engaging diverse groups (previous supervisory and/or event planning experience is a plus).
- Strong organizational, time-management, project-management, and problem-solving
- Possesses foundational office skills including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database
- Highly adaptable with effective organization methods and consistent attention to
- Ethically and socially responsible; discrete and professional in a variety of settings both within and outside of the
- Confident working with a team as well as in a self-sufficient manner without being given detailed, point-by-point
- Solution-oriented and adaptable to shifting priorities and real-time
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple concurrent projects and
