Case Assistant – Los Angeles

Summary:

The Los Angeles office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is looking for a Case Assistant to support the Private Wealth group, specifically working in Trusts and Estate Planning. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,200 lawyers located in 15 offices in six countries.

Responsibilities:

  • Process executed estate planning documents by making copies, scanning, preparing estate planning binders, inputting information in the Will safe database, preparing the folder for the original documents and ensuring the original documents are in the Will safe
  • Draft, format and finalize client letters for attorney approval. Responsible for sending through various delivery services (USPS, FedEx or other delivery services)
  • Manage various file projects in both electronic and hard copy format
  • Assist administrative staff with opening client files and prepare for execution meeting as needed
  • Assist with overflow work as requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Ability to work in office 5 days a week required 
  • High level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • High level of discretion while working with sensitive information and documents

ADA Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances
  • Needs manual dexterity, speed and accuracy in handling office equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
  • Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals
  • Must be able to lift, carry and move objects in excess of 30 lbs
  • Ability to carry light objects, e.g., files, small objects and supplies a short distance

FLSA

  • Non-Exempt

 

The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $55,000 and represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location.
