Associate Attorney Role:
In this pivotal role, we are seeking associates or junior partner-level attorneys who bring substantial value to VBM. Following an initial orientation period, you will take on a pivotal role in defending a diverse array of clients in civil litigation and prosecuting insurance subrogation cases as a plaintiff attorney in a variety of subrogation cases. Your responsibilities will include a wide range of high-impact tasks, such as taking depositions, preparing and arguing motions, attending inspections of defective parts and machines, evaluating evidence, preparing litigation strategies with partner attorneys, conducting trials and appeals independently, and maintaining a profound understanding of evolving legal landscapes. Your instrumental role extends to drafting concise research articles for the firm's client newsletter, delivering educational presentations to clients, and actively participating in other client-oriented activities. These responsibilities provide just a glimpse of the multifaceted duties inherent in this role, where you will collaborate with Mr. Bridges and his team, contributing significantly to the office's expansion and success. You will be put on a path to become a partner overseeing your own staff and caseload as the leader of your own team.

Ross Bridges brings a unique blend of experiences to VBM Law. Ross holds degrees in Criminal Justice and Spanish and he served in the United States Marine Corps, including a deployment in Iraq. He and his family are active members of the Crossing Church in Columbia and since 2011 Ross continues to make a significant impact as a board member and volunteer with Welcome Home, Inc., a nonprofit providing transitional housing for homeless military veterans. Ross is licensed in Missouri and Kansas and focuses his practice in the areas of insurance subrogation law and civil litigation. He also serves as a mentor to VBM team members, fostering growth and career advancement across multiple functions. Ross enjoys all things outdoors and Mizzou sports.

Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience ranging from $85,000 to $122,500.
- Performance-based compensation providing the potential to earn up to an additional $20,000+ per year, on top of base salary

Education and Qualifications:
- Law degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Missouri.
