The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.
Salary Range$56,400.00 - $93,000.00- Gain familiarity with and utilize Travelers’ internal BI systems to provide support and guidance to internal business partners (e.g., AART, eLibrary, Altered Terms Tool, Oden, Compliance Link).
- Support internal business groups regarding compliance with Travelers’ internal policies, insurance and corporate regulatory issues, contract review, internal and external communications.
- Collect required documentation in connection with regulatory inquiries, investigations, data calls and other activities, government relations and litigation.
- Conduct discrete and simple research using legal databases (e.g., WestLaw).
- Support attorneys by preparing correspondence, memorandum, reports, and presentations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Paralegal Certificate.
- Two years working as a legal professional or related industry experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as evidenced by proper use of grammar, spelling accuracy, vocabulary, and ability to convey complicated concepts and ideas.
- Strong technological aptitude with the ability to work within and navigate multiple systems including the Microsoft Suite, Document Management systems (iManage), Case Management systems (CounselLink) and Legal Databases (Westlaw and Oden).
- Strong organization skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively and prepare presentations for business partners and senior leaders.
- Self-starter that takes initiative, works independently, takes personal responsibility, and handles cases with the utmost care and confidentiality.
- Critical thinker with the ability to spot legal issues through reviewing documents, projects, and business meetings.
- Team player with the ability to work with various business segments such as other Legal Units, Underwriting, Risk Control, Service Centers and Distribution.
- Associate’s Degree or one year of experience as a paralegal, compliance professional or related industry experience.
