Polsinelli, PC has a position available for an experienced full-time Legal Administrative Assistant (Legal Secretary) in their Kansas City Office, supporting the Trusts and Estates practice group. Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Candidate must possess 5+ years of trusts and estates experience.
- Experience in wealth planning.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with clients.
- Must have excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including the expertise of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team setting.
- Must be able to work in a demanding environment.
- Manage files, open new matters as requested by attorneys, and maintain all relevant document inclusions for the files.
- Responsible for a broad variety of administrative tasks that requires strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with meticulous attention to detail.
- Preparation of estate planning documents, probate pleadings, and assisting with electronic filing of probate documents in Missouri and Kansas.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
- Coordinating and tracking continuing legal education requirements for attorneys.
- Forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
Qualified candidates must possess strong initiative, demonstrate an ability to anticipate needs, resolve issues/problems independently, have strong organizational skills, be able to work independently as well as in a team setting, and manage multiple projects/tasks at a time. Other essential requirements for this position include the ability to communicate effectively and professionally to develop rapport with co-workers as well as clients; maintain strong working relationships; exhibit meticulous attention to detail; manage confidential and sensitive information; and possess strong proofreading and typing skills.
