Position: Title Attorney / Underwriter-Hybrid

Title Attorney / Underwriter
Responsibilities
- Manage the title team and make Title Underwriting (UW) decisions
- Serve as the escalation point of contact for complex issues
- Review residential and commercial title searches for marketability and insurability
- Guide and support internal employees and external partners
- Collaborate with external underwriting counsel and clients on title matters
Qualifications
Required:
- Licensed attorney in good standing OR proven experience as a Title Underwriter
- Strong knowledge of title underwriting practices, state regulations, and industry standards
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make sound, time-sensitive decisions within company and regulatory guidelines
- Strong organizational, follow-up, and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Valuable:
- Experience managing or mentoring a title team
- Familiarity with ResWare or similar title production software
- Prior experience in commercial and construction title policies and endorsements
- Licensed Title Insurance Producer
