Summary

Review and analyze financial records in connection with the investigation of property crimes as set forth in the Texas Penal Code.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Reviews and compiles financial records.
  2. Analyzes bank records, credit card statements, cancelled checks, and debit and credit memos.
  3. Organizes voluminous records for presentation to the Court or grand jury.
  4. Prepares summaries and exhibits for criminal prosecutions.
  5. Consults with investigators and attorneys regarding evidence for prosecutions.
  6. Confers with witnesses and victims regarding financial transactions.
  7. Testifies in criminal prosecutions.
  8. Performs all other related duties involved in the operation of the section as assigned or required.
The Texas CJIS System Access Policy restricts access to criminal history record information. The ability to access CJIS information is a requirement of this position.

Minimum Requirements

NOTE: You must fill out the work history and education sections of application to show you have years of experience/education as required by hiring department or be disqualified.


  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher (+) plus four (4) years of full-time work experience in a governmental agency dealing with the analysis of financial affairs or in a business environment in a financial capacity. -OR-
  • Must have a Associate's degree  (+) plus six (6) years of full-time work experience in a governmental agency dealing with the analysis of financial affairs or in a business environment in a financial capacity. -OR- 
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED (+) plus eight (8) years of full-time work experience in a governmental agency dealing with the analysis of financial affairs or in a business environment in a financial capacity.
  • Must have accounting, bookkeeping, computer operations and working knowledge of spreadsheet or accounting software.

AT NEW HIRE PROCESSING OR DURING THE PROMOTIONAL PROCESS.

 

The Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office is a law enforcement agency. A thorough background, criminal history, and financial check is conducted on all applicants seeking employment. Physical Demands and Work Environment & Other Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to bend, encounter burn risks, carry, climb, climb ladders, climb stairs, encounter electrical hazards, grasp/squeeze, use hand tools, use hazardous machinery, hear, tolerate hot and cold inside temperatures, keyboard, kneel, lift below the waist, lift between waist and shoulder, lift overhead, lift to the side/twist, tolerate noise, tolerate hot and cold outside temperatures, pull, push, reach, reach overhead, perform repetitive tasks, negotiate rough or uneven surfaces, run, see color, see far and near, sit, negotiate slippery surfaces, squat, stand, stoop, talk, twist, use his/her hands, drive a vehicle, encounter vibrations, walk, walk on an incline, use wide hand spread, work at heights, work alone and with others, and work overtime.
