Job Description

OVERVIEW

A leading real estate company seeks an experienced Associate Counsel to join its legal team. This role will provide critical legal support across various aspects of the business, with a strong emphasis on land acquisition and development.

 

  • Compensation: $125K (DOE) + bonus + benefits
  • Location: 100% on-site in Las Vegas Nevada Metro Area (requires employer-covered relocation for out-of-state candidates)
  • Travel: Requires periodic overnight travel

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Land Acquisition & Development: Provide legal counsel on all phases of land acquisition, including due diligence, contract negotiation, zoning and entitlement issues, and closing transactions.
  • Real Estate Transactions: Review and draft contracts, title documents, and other legal agreements related to real estate transactions.
  • Homeowner Associations: Advise on homeowner association matters, including document review and compliance.
  • Litigation Support: Assist with the management of litigation matters, including coordinating with outside counsel and providing necessary support.
  • Employment Law: Advise on employment law matters, including compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Construction & Warranty: Provide legal counsel on construction and warranty issues.
  • Other Legal Matters: Provide legal support on a wide range of other legal issues as they arise.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 3+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably with a focus on real estate/home building law.
  • Active and in good standing with the applicable state bar association(s).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Excellent organizational, time-management skills, and team collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
