The team operates as first point of contact/liaison with legal and compliance on all consumer issues.
 

About the Role

As a Paralegal Specialist, your duties will include providing high-quality support to Attorneys. This will involve conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and performing other related tasks. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the Legal department by providing Attorney support.
 

Responsibilities

• Acting as liaison among all internal LexisNexis key stakeholders and preparing a chronological detailed timeline at legals request.

• Developing and organizing material that helps legal draw these conclusions. Email acknowledgment and reviewing, time lines.

• Researching case-related factual issues using various LexisNexis systems (Salesforce; MBS)

• Conducting research, investigating facts and developing legal arguments. Communicate and attending required meetings with litigation team and business partners.

• Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases.

• Keeping track of changes within the consumers LexisNexis file and providing timely updates on these changes.

• In-taking all Threat to Sue and Subpoena related
  matters.

• Processing consumer disputes; suppressions; and or corrections at legals request.

Requirements

• Have a Minimum of 1- 3 years Law Firm or Corporate Paralegal experience.

• Have thorough knowledge of legal research techniques, legal terminology, legal communication principles and practices.

• Have in depth knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations.

• Have proficient knowledge of computer-based software such as Windows, Explorer/Chrome and Microsoft Office

• Maintain excellent oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to prioritize work and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.

• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette with outstanding customer service skills.
