Job Description
Performs a wide variety of law-related tasks under the direction of attorneys or a Supervising Paralegal.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform legal research, investigate facts, draft pleadings and motions, collect documents and information, and prepare legal documents requiring advanced legal knowledge of specific subject areas.
- Investigate and research moderately complex legal matters.
- Assist the legal organization in acquiring the data and information needed to prepare for hearings, closings, trials, and corporate meetings.
- Act as the corporate representative at Small Claim trials.
- Support attorneys in all phases of commercial and insurance defense litigation and administrative agency matters.
Qualifications
Skills and Attributes
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Experience
- Litigation experience required; commercial and insurance defense litigation experience is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- Paralegal Certificate required.
Experience Level
- 3+ years of related experience OR 0–2 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
Supervisory Responsibility
- None.
Compensation
Our Specialist Paralegals earn between $87,200 and $130,800 USD annually, depending on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
