Position Summary Ocelot Energy Management is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support its in-house legal team. This position provides administrative and legal support to attorneys and business professionals through document preparation, contract administration, records management, calendar coordination, and confidential legal-department operations. What You'll Do

·       Prepare, format, proofread, revise, compare, and distribute legal documents, correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other business materials.

·       Assist with contract execution, tracking, document routing, and records administration.

·       Maintain organized electronic and physical legal files in accordance with Company policies and document-retention requirements.

·       Manage calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate travel arrangements, and prepare meeting materials and follow-up items.

·       Coordinate with outside counsel, vendors, and other third parties; receive, screen, and route calls and correspondence.

·       Support legal-department technology needs, conduct internet research, and assist with special projects.

·       Handle confidential, sensitive, and privileged information with discretion and sound judgment. 

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

·       High school diploma or GED equivalent.

·       A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience as a legal secretary, legal assistant, or in a comparable legal-administrative role.

·       Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

·       Proficiency with document-management systems, document comparison, Adobe Acrobat, and PDF management.

·       Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

·       Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, anticipate needs, and protect confidential information.

 

Preferred Experience

·       Associate or bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.

·       Experience supporting a corporate legal department or law firm.

·       Experience supporting contract management, legal document preparation, outside-counsel coordination, or corporate records administration.

·       Familiarity with SharePoint, OneDrive, and legal or contract document-management systems.
