Director of Legal

The Director of Legal at BOXABL will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing all legal matters within the company. This includes managing compliance, risk management, contracts, intellectual property, IPO readiness, and more.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to the executive team and other key stakeholders.
• Oversee and manage all legal aspects of corporate governance, including board meetings and shareholder relations.
• Ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership deals, and employment contracts.
• Manage intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
• Handle litigation and dispute resolution, coordinating with external counsel as necessary.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks.
• Oversee risk management programs, including insurance and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and mentor the legal team, fostering a collaborative and proactive legal environment.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant legal trends and provide training to staff on legal issues as needed.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Nevada.
• Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in a General Counsel role.
• Proven track record in managing a broad range of legal matters, including corporate governance, contracts, compliance, and intellectual property.
• Experience leading or supporting an IPO process, including SEC compliance and public disclosure requirements.
