We are seeking a Summer Legal & Compliance Intern to support both our Legal and Compliance teams with a variety of projects and ongoing work. This role offers exposure to regulatory compliance processes, legal research, contract review, and operational compliance functions within a financial institution. The intern will work closely with both compliance professionals and legal counsel, gaining hands-on experience across a broad range of areas including policy and file reviews, regulatory research, and assisting with legal document review and responses.

This part-time position, 25 hours per week, is anticipated to run for 11 weeks and will be based in Portland, Maine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with compliance file reviews, policy updates, and regulatory research.
• Support BSA processes including customer due diligence (CDD).
• Conduct legal research and assist with ongoing legal and compliance projects.
• Review and assist with court orders, contracts, and NDAs.
• Collaborate with various departments to address legal and compliance-related questions.

Qualified candidates are law students pursuing a J.D., entering their 2L or 3L year in Fall 2025.

This internship is ideal for a law student with an interest in financial services compliance, regulatory law, and corporate legal work.
