The Ohio Attorney General's Office is currently seeking two knowledgeable and motivated individuals for the position of Medicaid Fraud Analyst available in the Health Care Fraud Section. This position will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule. There may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs. The Office is headquartered in downtown Columbus, Ohio.

The purpose of the Medicaid Fraud Analyst position is to provide analytical and technical support to criminal investigative teams. The successful candidate will perform the following duties, which include but are not limited to:

·       Independently collect, sort, and analyze sophisticated datasets including medical billing claims data, financial records, and geo-location data, using Microsoft Excel, Access, and/or SQL.

·       Draft technical reports and summarize findings based on data analysis.

·       Utilize various tools and software packages (e.g. databases, spreadsheets, analytical software suites, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Reporting Services, Data Visualization programs) to query datasets and create detailed, accurate reports to document findings and conclusions.

·       Employ various programming languages (PHP, Python, VB, C++, Java, etc.) to build tools to assist in processing data sets and maintaining analyst support processes.

·       Research and query various law enforcement and public databases to identify information related to individuals and businesses.

·       Assist in the development and installation of covert and/or overt surveillance platforms including audio, video, and GPS tracking devices.

·       Provide technical expertise related to imaging and analyzing seized electronic media.

·       Assist law enforcement officers and Special Agents in the execution of search warrants by coordinating documentation of the execution, serving as photographer, identifying and tagging all electronic devices and media, and accurately documenting the collection of evidence.

4 years of experience in computer programming, computer/electronic system &/or accounting; valid driver’s license. 

-Or Associate’s degree in computer programming, computer/electronic system, accounting or related field; 2 years experience in computer programming, computer/electronic system or accounting; valid driver’s license. 

-Or Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer/electronic systems, accounting, or related field; valid driver’s license.
