Job Description
If selected, you will serve as an Attorney Adviser responsible for a broad range of assignments in the Division of Corporation Finance's Office of Small Business Policy (OSBP). OSBP provides guidance to companies seeking to raise capital through exempt or smaller registered offerings and is responsible for administering the Division's rules and policies affecting private companies and smaller public companies.
Duties Typical Duties Include: Interpreting requirements for available exemptions from the registration requirements of the Securities Act of 1933, including Regulation A, Regulation Crowdfunding, and Regulation D. Providing guidance to the public on rules and regulations relating to small businesses, including exemptions from registration and smaller public company disclosure requirements. Participating in rulemaking projects impacting small businesses. Providing assistance to Division staff on filing reviews of Regulation A or other offerings implicating small business issues. Researching and developing ideas and providing advice and recommendations on significant issues under the Federal securities laws in the absence of precedent. Salary- $151,597 - $256,833/year
