Our client is a well-respected law firm.
They are seeking a highly motivated and organized Paralegal to join their growing Civil Defense Litigation team in Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct legal research and analysis, including case law, statutes, and regulations
• Draft and review legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
• Manage case files, including document organization, calendaring deadlines, and maintaining accurate records
• Assist with discovery, including e-discovery, document production, and depositions
• Prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, preparing witness files, and assisting with trial logistics
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
• 5+ years of experience as a Paralegal in a civil litigation environment, with a strong preference for experience in Insurance Defense, Construction Law, or Personal Injury Defense
• Proficiency in legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Competitive salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
