Job Description

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), a multi-office national law firm, has an immediate opening for a full-time Paralegal in its Miami, FL office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organized professional to join a high-performing team focused on personal injury defense litigation.

About the Role

The individual in this role will provide direct support to attorneys handling a high-volume caseload of personal injury defense matters. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple deadlines, and thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organize and analyze documentary evidence including medical records, depositions, discovery, investigative reports, and related documentation

  • Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing subpoenas, and coordinating with clients, witnesses, and experts

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda on a variety of substantive and procedural topics

  • Perform investigative research using online platforms for background checks, expert research, and case development

  • Draft correspondence, motions, pleadings, affidavits, and other legal documents under attorney supervision

  • Review, interpret, and prepare medical chronologies and summaries

  • Monitor case files, identify issues requiring attorney attention, and ensure timely management of sensitive case materials

  • Maintain organization of digital and physical case files in compliance with internal procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of paralegal experience in personal injury or insurance defense litigation

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Experience with timekeeping and billing

  • Strong critical thinking, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; paralegal certificate or additional legal training preferred

Physical Demands

This position is largely sedentary, requiring extended periods of sitting and regular use of office equipment. The role may involve occasional walking, standing, reaching, and lifting of materials up to 20 pounds.

Working Conditions

This position is based in an indoor office environment. Employees may experience varying noise levels and periodic interruptions throughout the workday.
