About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Estate Planning & Estate Administration Attorney to join our Florida legal team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience advising individuals and families on estate planning matters and handling estate administration from start to finish.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys building long-term client relationships, providing practical legal advice, and working across multiple areas of law.
While Estate Planning and Estate Administration are the core requirements of this position, experience in one or more of the following areas would be considered a significant asset: Real Estate, Corporate Law.

Key Responsibilities
Estate Planning

  • Advise clients on comprehensive estate planning strategies based on their personal, and financial circumstances.
  • Draft and review Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives, and other estate planning documents.
  • Assist clients with probate avoidance and succession planning strategies.
  • Advise clients regarding the use and administration of trusts.
  • Review and update existing estate plans as clients' circumstances change.
  • Work collaboratively with financial, tax, and other professional advisors where appropriate.
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients and their families.

Estate Administration

  • Manage estate administration files from initial consultation through completion.
  • Advise Executors, Personal Representatives, Trustees, and beneficiaries regarding their legal responsibilities and rights.
  • Prepare and review probate and estate administration documents.
  • Assist with applications for probate and other court-related estate matters.
  • Communicate with beneficiaries, financial institutions, government agencies, accountants, and other professionals.
  • Assist with the collection, valuation, and distribution of estate assets.
  • Address creditor claims and other estate liabilities.
  • Prepare and review estate-related correspondence, agreements, releases, and other legal documentation.
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during the administration of an estate.
  • Maintain accurate file management and ensure matters progress efficiently and within applicable deadlines.

Additional Practice Areas – Considered an Asset
Experience in any of the following areas would be considered a strong bonus:
Real Estate

  • Residential and commercial real estate transactions
  • Purchase and sale transactions
  • Refinancing and mortgage matters
  • Real estate agreements and related documentation

Corporate Law

  • Incorporations and reorganizations
  • Shareholder agreements
  • Corporate transactions
  • Business succession planning
  • General corporate advisory work

Experience across multiple practice areas is particularly valuable as we operate a multi-service professional environment, allowing lawyers to identify opportunities where clients may benefit from additional legal or professional services.

Client Experience & Business Development
The successful candidate will be expected to provide an exceptional client experience and contribute to the growth of the practice.
Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting client consultations and clearly explaining legal options.
  • Building trust and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Identifying additional legal needs as they arise.
  • Working collaboratively with other lawyers and professionals within the organization.
  • Participating in client development and referral opportunities.
  • Developing a strong personal network and referral base over time.
  • Contributing to a consistent and professional client experience.

Qualifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar is a must.
  • 2+ years of relevant legal experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in Estate Planning and Estate Administration required.
  • Excellent understanding of Florida estate and probate law.
  • Strong drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage files independently from intake through completion.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and practical manner.
  • Professional, personable, and client-focused approach.
  • Strong judgment and ability to identify potential legal issues before they become problems.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with lawyers, legal support staff, and other professional advisors.
