Legal Assistant-Mass Tort

Job Summary: The Legal Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Paralegal and Attorney team by assisting with various administrative and legal tasks. This position is vital in ensuring that all client-related processes are handled efficiently, contributing to achieving the best possible outcome for our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Order medical records and bills
• Open and organize client files, including records and incident tabs
• Data entry
• Process invoices, ensuring timely entry and payments
• Handle various forms of correspondence, both internally and externally
• Conduct investigations using resources such as Westlaw, Rejis, and MSHP
• Follow up with clients and service providers as needed
• Assist with client intake processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is gathered
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in personal injury law is preferred
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Familiarity with a case management software, such as Needles, is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively

Education:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in legal setting preferred
