
Hawkins Delafield & Wood LLP is a nationally recognized law firm with a long history of excellence in public finance and is seeking a public finance part-time Tax Paralegal to support attorneys on a wide range of legal and financial matters, with a primary focus on the preparation and coordination of tax certifications, IRS filings and other compliance documents for transactions.

Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and manage tax certificates and related closing documents for public finance transactions.
- Conduct legal and factual research to support attorneys on tax compliance matters.
- Assist in preparing materials for transaction closings, including government filings.
- Attend meetings and coordinate with clients, attorneys and other personnel at the firm, and third parties.
- Manage project timelines and document tracking systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; high academic standing or commensurate experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under time-sensitive conditions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with legal research tools is a plus.
- Background or interest in tax law, statistics, and finance is highly desirable.
- Professional demeanor and client-focused mindset.
