Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support across a variety of legal functions, including contract review and management, regulatory compliance, and litigation support. You will be a part of the Legal and Compliance department, working closely with the team to manage and organize legal documents, conduct research, and liaise with external counsel to ensure the company’s interests are effectively represented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and management of legal documents and contracts.
  • Interface directly with customers to respond to queries and negotiate various contracts, with support from team attorneys.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support ongoing and potential cases.
  • Manage and maintain legal databases and filing systems to ensure all documents are accurately recorded and easily accessible.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information for legal matters and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel on various matters, including litigation, regulatory filings, and contract negotiations.
  • Support the legal team in ensuring that all company activities are compliant with current laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and report on legal and regulatory developments that may affect the company’s operations.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Paralegal Studies, Law, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Paralegal in a fast-paced corporate or legal environment.
  • Strong knowledge of legal processes, contract management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software; proficiency in contract management software is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Available to work full time hours, Monday – Friday, onsite. 
  • Ability to work in our Houston, TX office.
