Job Description
Erickson Immigration Group (EIG), is a full-service, premium business immigration law firm. We pride ourselves on a "Perfect Plus" customer experience through trust, honesty, transparency, and availability to our clients. We currently have a career opportunity for a business immigration Legal Coordinator to join our team in our headquarters office located in Arlington, VA. This is a fully onsite position.
- Assure all mailings are accounted for and accurately updated in the case management system and databases.
- Utilize web-based immigration case management system and database continuously and accurately.
- Scan, file, mail, and maintain physical files and supporting documentation.
- Open or close records/cases in the case management system; maintain all records as requested by the supervisor.
- Create PAFs and withdrawals in addition to scanning and filing petitions.
- Meet assigned deadlines and communicate case progress/status/issues to supervisor.
- Follow up with clients for outstanding documentation.
- Maintain client contact information.
- Update and manage status reports.
- Build knowledge of Firm and client processes.
- Learn procedural and processing requirements for various types of non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications (such as drafting and assembling non-immigrant and immigrant petitions and applications).
- Work closely with other Coordinators and Attorneys across multiple departments within the firm and your own team.
- Monitor internal systems to ensure immediate processing and high-level customer service standards.
- Assist attorneys in preparing visa package documentation for employees to attend visa stamping appointments abroad
- Contribute to the development of the firm’s processes to simplify work, standardize procedures, and help the team operate more efficiently and effectively.
Qualification Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced high volume professional services environment.
- Experience with document scanning and data entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Docs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate effectively at all levels in person, by phone and by email.
- Proven experience in handling multiple deliverables efficiently, with strong time management and prioritization skills while supporting various tasks simultaneously.
- Very strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Extensive file and document management experience.
- Show interest in expanding knowledge and responsibilities in casework preparation.
- Demonstrate flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team.
- Must be a team player as well as self-motivated and committed to excellence in the workplace.
