Litigation Associate – Seattle, WA

Description: Fox Rothschild LLP has an opening in the Seattle office for a litigation associate. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of general commercial litigation experience. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.

Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Washington.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Large law firm experience preferred.
• Clerkship experience and/or trial experience is a plus.
• Superior academic and employment record, and excellent research and writing skills required.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to the case strategy as part of a dynamic litigation team.
• Experience drafting briefs, correspondence, and responding to written discovery.
• Experience managing e-discovery.
• Experience in Washington state and federal courts.
• Experience drafting and arguing motions.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Strong organizational and case management skills, work ethic, and team-oriented attitude.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.

Physical Requirements

• Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. 

Compensation & Benefits:

• The salary range for this position applies to Washington. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position $210,000 - $235,000.
