Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Corporate Paralegal to join our collaborative legal team. This role is essential to our global entity and governance operations, supporting the foundational legal processes that keep our public company running smoothly. From managing our BoardVantage platform to maintaining subsidiary compliance across the globe, you’ll be the trusted point of ownership for critical workflows that require precision, judgment, and initiative. This role supports a global subsidiary structure and occasional early morning or evening calls may be needed to coordinate with colleagues in Europe and APAC.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Own and manage the lifecycle of our domestic and international legal entities, including formation, maintenance, dissolution, and reorganizations across jurisdictions such as North America, UK, EU and APAC including Singapore, India, and ANZ.

  • Maintain and update subsidiary records including minute books, organizational charts, officer/director slates, and ownership registers; ensure compliance with global filing requirements (e.g., UBOs, annual reports).

  • Administer legal entity platforms and board portals (e.g., BoardVantage); coordinate officer certifications and board materials.

  • Coordinate notarizations, apostilles, certified copies, and legalized documents as needed to support entity compliance, intercompany agreements, and telecom licensing requirements in global jurisdictions.

  • Assist in drafting and maintaining intercompany governance documentation such as resolutions, consents, and powers of attorney.

  • Partner closely with Finance, Tax, and Compliance to align on entity-related compliance, regulatory filings, and information requests (e.g., KYC/AML).

  • Prepare and file corporate submissions, including Statements of Information, foreign qualifications, and charter amendments.

  • Respond to external requests from customers, banks, auditors, regulators, and vendors.

  • Manage relationships with corporate agents and local counsel.

  • Support M&A activity through due diligence and integration work, and contribute to special projects aimed at improving compliance and execution. 

  • Tackle a variety of legal administrative tasks, big and small, with a mindset focused on execution.

  • Help modernize subsidiary governance and entity workflows through AI-driven legal innovation and smart process adoption.


 

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of corporate paralegal experience, including at least 2 years in-house with a global technology company.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of domestic and international subsidiaries, including formation, maintenance, dissolution, and reorganizations.

  • Jurisdictional experience with North America, EU and APAC-ANZ.

  • Proficiency with BoardVantage and with entity management tools

  • Experience collaborating across departments (e.g., Finance, Tax, Compliance).

  • Familiarity with compliance filings, KYC/AML responses, and registered agent coordination.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to take initiative, work independently, manage multiple priorities, and follow tasks through to completion.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and Acrobat PDF.

Preferred Qualifications (bonus points, not required):

  • Experience in the cloud communications industry.

  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program.

  • Notary Public certification.

  • Experience with entity formation, maintenance, and dissolution in APAC (beyond Singapore) and Europe (particularly Ireland, France, Bulgaria, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and Netherlands)

  • Familiarity with Pramata, WorkBoard, SmartSheets, and SimpleLegal.

  • Exposure to public company subsidiary compliance requirements.

  • Strong project management and process improvement skills.

  • Experience applying AI technologies to streamline legal processes.

The compensation range reflects the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. 8x8 has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Further, individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, knowledge, success, education and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including discretionary merit increases, bonus and/or stock. Certain roles have the opportunity to earn sales variable compensation incentives based on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.

Salary Ranges:

$185,625.00 - $309,375.00
