Position Summary:

Vorys Houston office Labor and Employment and Litigation practices’ busy practice groups seeks an experienced paralegal to provide expertise and support. This paralegal will work closely with excellent legal practitioners and contribute to large case teams; as well as small fast-paced matters.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with managing multiple litigation dockets.
- Conduct fact research.
- Assist with document collection, processing and production through internal litigation support department and outside vendors.
- Assist preparation of attorneys and witnesses for deposition.
- Assist with preparation for filings, hearings, trial and post-trial appeal.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Understanding of legal terminology and principles
- Competency with MS Office applications and litigation discovery database operations including Relativity, Viewpoint, Everlaw and other similar programs
- Exceptionally practiced with interpersonal, verbal and written communication
- Efficient organization methods
- Ability to prioritize work while remaining deadline focused
- Proven attention to detail
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Parlaegal Studies or Paralegal Certificate
- 5 - 7 years of experience in similar field required. Prior litigation, law firm or courtroom work experience or training preferred.
