Position Overview:

The Legal Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of legal cases and documentation to the Firm’s standards before submission. This role involves reviewing and auditing legal documents, case files, evidence and submissions to ensure they meet internal and external standards and current regulations. The Legal Quality Assurance Specialist will collaborate closely with the LQ&TD Lead and Supervisor to identify, prevent and resolve issues, and maintain high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:


  • Legal Review: Thoroughly review the cases, depending on the stage, to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to USCIS and the firm’s operating procedures and standard requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct detailed quality checks to identify errors, inconsistencies, or discrepancies in cases, depending on the stage, and collaborate closely with the LQ&TD Lead and Supervisor and the Legal Operations Manager to resolve issues promptly.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Stay updated on changes in USCIS regulations and procedural requirements impacting the case processes and procedures and ensure all cases completed comply with these standards.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports and scorecards detailing findings from quality control reviews, investigating specific issues in the process, and finding areas of improvements working with  both the E&C Department and the Legal Operations Manager involved in the findings.
  • Feedback: Provide constructive feedback, if necessary, to address any issues and recognize high performance. This responsibility is shared with the Team Leader or Assistant Supervisor of the assigned team.
  • Other tasks may be assigned.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proven prior experience, ideally focusing on document review, quality control, or compliance.
  • Internal Candidate: minimum of six months with the company, preferably has worked within Legal Ops.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to identify inaccuracies and discrepancies in legal documents.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with GFI Team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
  • Proficiency in using Adobe PDF and case management system (Litify preferred).

    Job Type: Full-time
    Schedule: Monday-Friday - 10:00am-6:30pm
