Legal Extern

The in-house legal department at Auto Services Unlimited, Inc. represents several business units including an auto finance company, a service contract company, a logistics company, several real estate holding companies, and 10 new-car dealerships located in Oho, New Jersey and Florida. The legal department consists of a general counsel, a deputy general counsel, a legal department operations director and a legal administrator who all provide legal services in a wide variety of practice areas.

At Auto Services Unlimited, externs are treated like first-year associates. Externs can expect to work on projects such as drafting memoranda, drafting litigation documents, and reviewing and drafting contracts and policies. These projects could be in a wide variety of areas of the law including business, contracts, real estate, corporate governance, consumer practice, finance, mergers and acquisitions, debt collection, retail sales of automobiles, environmental, advertising, compliance, and labor and employment. Additional opportunities for the legal extern include attending meetings with counsel and business executives and attending court hearings.
