Mid-Level Litigation Associate

The San Francisco office of McGuireWoods seeks an Associate to join its Litigation Department. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex litigation and regulatory-facing matters for leading financial institutions and fintechs, including high-stakes class actions, commercial disputes, and emerging areas such as mass arbitration.

McGuireWoods' litigation practice is built on the team's ability to represent clients effectively across a wide range of industries in high-stakes, complex disputes. Our lawyers handle multimillion-dollar class actions, complex commercial litigation, and other significant matters in state and federal courts nationwide. Matters include nationwide and statewide class actions, claims alleging unfair competition, fraud, and violations of various consumer protection statutes, business torts, and the fast-changing area of mass arbitrations. The firm also represents companies in a broad range of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, fiduciary duty claims, and other business litigation.

• 4–6 years of litigation experience at an AmLaw 100 or comparable firm
• Experience with complex commercial litigation, class actions, mass arbitrations, and/or regulatory or investigations work
• Strong writing, analytical, and client-facing skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters and take ownership of key workstreams
• California Bar required
• Judicial clerkship experience is a plus

Salary: $310,000 - 390,000
