The Role:
Due to continued growth, we are hiring a Litigation Associate. The team works on a variety of commercial and complex litigation matters with a focus on executive compensation disputes and consumer class actions.
Sterlington’s litigation partners come from Big Law and other well-recognized firms. You will work in an ambitious, agile, and high-performing team that is committed to delivering excellent results and associate development. The role suits an individual with Big Law experience who is looking for more hands-on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Researching potential legal theories and arguments
- Drafting complaints, motions, briefs, and other documents
- Assisting in all aspects of discovery from drafting requests to document collection and production to deposition preparation and support
- Communicating (verbally and in writing) with clients and opposing counsel
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admitted to a state Bar; bonus if California or Florida
- 3 to 7 years of experience at an AmLaw 100 Firm
- Strong writing skills
- Some experience with discovery (drafting or responding to requests, document collection and review)
