Job Description

About the role

The Legal Clerk will perform administrative tasks to support the Legal and Operations teams with the in-office aspects of case flows for all phases in the case handling process. This individual assists with updating and organizing case files in the case management system, drafting documents, and performing clerical tasks related to our client’s case. This position requires a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to working collaboratively with multiple departments. Candidate must be fluent in English, both speaking and writing; prefer bilingual in Spanish. 


Must be able to be onsite in our Dublin office Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 5pm Eastern Time


What you'll do

  1. Print case document packets to be sent to the USCIS for review. 

 

  1. Prepare Passport pictures to accompany all case packets. 

 

  1. Organize and utilize tabs for required areas of packet that need to be signed by client. 

 

  1. Manage and sort a high volume of incoming mail, ensuring appropriate action is taken based on type, priority and client, in order to meet USCIS deadlines. 

 

  1. Send out a high volume of client communications in a timely manner. 

 

  1. Prepare shipping labels using third-party software. 

 

  1. Maintain accurate records within the case management system as well as physical filing system. 

 

  1. For virtual clients, manage the client fingerprint retrieval process. 

 

  1. Submit outgoing records requests (FOIA and FBI) with local and federal law enforcement agencies. 

 

  1. Additional administrative duties including filing, scanning, and copying. 


Qualifications

  1. Highschool diploma or equivalent experience 

 

  1. Previous legal assistance or immigration law experience preferred 

 

  1. Previous customer service or office experience required 

 

  1. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software including Dropbox, Sharepoint, or CRM 

 

  1. Possesses excellent English interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; prefer bilingual in Spanish 

 

  1. Ruthless attention to detail and excellent organizational skills 

 

  1. Ability to solve problem independently or with the support of leadership  

 

  1. Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative manner 

 

  1. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 

 

  1. Proven ability to work independently and proactively
