Description

Strategic Legal Practices is seeking a full-time associate with 3-5 years of experience and a stable work history to join our rapidly expanding team. Candidates must demonstrate a solid foundation in directly handling of all aspects of general litigation in both State and Federal courts, inclusive of sophisticated law and motion work, with first or second chair trial experience. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, as well as in a team setting, and begin supporting clients and other attorneys immediately and effectively. Lemon Law experience is a plus.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct initial Case Assessment and Investigations
  • Draft Pleadings and Motions
  • Propound and Respond to Discovery
  • Review, Evaluate and Analyze pertinent documents
  • Pre-Trial preparation (Trial experience a plus)
  • Meet all assigned calendar deadlines
  • Negotiate Settlements
  • Take and defend Depositions
  • Attend Court Appearances
  • Conduct self-directed, in-depth, independent Legal Research
  • Research and Analyze all Cases, Statues and secondary material cited by parties
  • Communicate Effectively with Clients
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned


Requirements
  • Licensed to practice law in California (admission to the CA Bar required).
  • 3-5 years of legal experience, including relevant internships, clerkships, or law school clinics.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Commitment to consumer rights and civil litigation.
