MG+M has an immediate opening in our Dallas office for a Legal Administrative Assistant with one plus year’s complex litigation experience.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Welcome and direct office visitors;
- Answer incoming telephone calls in a kind and professional manner and direct callers to appropriate party;
- Receive, sort, and forward incoming mail;
- Coordinate pick-up and delivery of express mail services;
- Assist with order breakroom supplies and office supplies;
- Assist with other related clerical duties such as data entry, photocopying, filing, and coding;
- Perform all clerical/admin duties as assigned and/or required to support the office;
- Assist legal secretaries and paralegals with file downloads and uploads, scanning and document production;
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to assigned attorneys/paralegals
- Format briefs, pleadings, correspondences and other legal documents
- File legal documents with state and federal courts (e-filing knowledge is a must)
- Regularly and accurately proofread all documents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to distribution or filing
- Update and maintain client files
- Maintain attorney calendars through Outlook (i.e. schedule appointments, calendar due dates, etc.).
- File and name documents in accordance to firm procedures, placing an importance on accuracy.

Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with a document management system, a plus.
- Attendance & Punctuality: Be consistently at work and on time; arrive at meetings and appointments on time; ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent.
- Communication: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Dependability: Follow instructions; complete tasks on time; commit to the hours necessary to complete assignments; work independently.
- Team Work: Contribute to building a positive team spirit; support everyone’s efforts to succeed.
- Technical Skills: Possess basic PC skills; ability to use phone system, copier, scanner, fax, and printer.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma required (College degree is preferred, but not required).
- Minimum one plus year’s law firm experience preferred.
