Position Overview:
The Law Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational aspects of the firm, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and smooth internal processes. This role requires expertise in HR, accounting and billing, and management within the legal industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Human Resources
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee training programs.
- Manage benefits administration, performance evaluations, and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Accounting and Billing
- Supervise billing operations, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
- Work with the accounting team to manage budgets and forecasts.
- Optimize billing processes to enhance client satisfaction and internal efficiencies.
Operations Management
- Oversee the firm’s administrative staff, ensuring optimal workflow and productivity.
- Collaborate with attorneys and partners to align operational goals with firm objectives.
- Implement and maintain office policies, procedures, and technology solutions.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a law firm or legal environment.
- Proven expertise in HR, including recruitment, compliance, and employee development.
- Strong knowledge of legal billing systems, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with legal practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
