We Require
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited and American Bar Association (ABA) approved law school
Three years of experience as an attorney practicing criminal law or six years of experience as an attorney practicing in any other area
Other Requirements
Must be admitted to practice law and be in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona by the time of hire
Valid Arizona driver’s license upon hire
May require overtime availability to respond to after-hour inquiries

Represent the State before the Grand Jury
Review and prepare cases for presentation to the Grand Jury
Work with and prepare law enforcement witnesses for testimony in front of a Grand Jury
Answer legal questions asked by Grand Jurors
Assist with reviewing cases to make charging decisions
Comply with all rules regulating professional responsibility
Cover court and other duties as assigned
Working Conditions
Courtroom setting in a high volume, fast-paced environment with frequent stressful situations. May require extended periods of sitting while completing paperwork, standing, and moving about while performing duties

Ability to travel to and from various County locations for court appearances, meetings, and training, utilizing personal or County-owned vehicles
Ability to move up to 20 pounds
Grand Jury presentations are conducted in person but there is an opportunity for some teleworking after the first year of employment
