OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
Are you a seasoned removal defense legal assistant ready to make a real difference in immigrants' lives? New Frontier Immigration Law seeks an experienced, Spanish-bilingual legal assistant to join our dynamic team in Phoenix, AZ. As part of our 125-person firm, you'll support our removal defense attorneys in their mission to provide innovative and compassionate representation to immigrants facing deportation.
This role offers the opportunity to be part of something bigger than yourself - helping immigrants LIVE FREE through dedicated legal support and exceptional client service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support removal defense attorneys with case preparation and management
- Prepare and file applications including Forms I-765, I-589, I-42B, and adjustment of status packages
- Maintain detailed case files and documentation in Filevine
- Communicate effectively with clients in both English and Spanish
- Gather and organize evidence for immigration court proceedings
- Assist in preparing clients for court appearances
- Track and meet critical filing deadlines
- Coordinate with government agencies including EOIR, ICE, and USCIS
- Provide exceptional client service throughout the representation process
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of high-volume removal defense experience
- Proven expertise with I-765, I-589, I-42B, and adjustment of status applications
- Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
- Experience with immigration court procedures and filings
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency with legal case management software
- Ability to work in our Phoenix office full-time

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary range: $22-27/hour, depending on experience
