Providing support to the private lending business in the private bank and to the business making loans to clients of the private wealth management business, including unsecured, securities based, commercial real estate loans, art loans and loans against other unique assets. The ideal candidate will have experience, preferably in a bank, providing advice, drafting documentation and working with outside counsel on loans for private wealth clients. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for regulatory developments with respect to loans related to private banking and working with the business and compliance management to ensure proper policies and procedures are adopted in connection with regulatory developments.
The candidate will also assist compliance with regulatory reviews of the private banking business.
QALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 10 years of experience advising lenders and/or borrowers in a financial institution, preferably within a private banking environment.
- Proven expertise in a range of loan products, including unsecured loans, securities-based lending, commercial real estate financing, and asset-based lending (art financing and other unique assets).
- Strong understanding of relevant banking regulations and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- JD or equivalent legal experience is a plus.
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $170000-$270000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
