McLean, VA | TS/SCI w/ Poly | Multiple Discipline Levels

Position Overview

At JMark, aligning legislative and legal research with Intelligence Community (IC) objectives is vital to mission success. We are seeking Legislative/Legal Researchers  across multiple discipline levels to direct staff activities, manage legislative and regulatory research, and ensure work products align with strategic priorities. This role requires knowledge of Congressional processes, national security regulations, and IC mission objectives. The Task 3 Lead will provide overall task management while serving as the primary advisor on legislative and legal matters impacting mission outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Task Leadership & Oversight

  • Direct the activities of Task 3 staff, ensuring legislative and legal research tasks are executed effectively.

  • Provide overall task management, aligning daily operations with mission and strategic objectives.

  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for Task 3 deliverables.

Legislative & Legal Research

  • Apply expertise in legislative affairs, regulatory compliance, and IC objectives to guide staff.

  • Oversee research on Congressional actions, national security law, and intelligence-related regulations.

  • Ensure findings are accurate, timely, and aligned with mission needs.

Strategic Alignment & Advisory Support

  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership regarding legislative or regulatory developments affecting the IC.

  • Anticipate trends in Congress and translate their impact into actionable guidance for the mission.

  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to certify task performance supports organizational priorities.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Law, Public Policy, or related field.

  • 0–15+ years of experience in legislative affairs, legal research, or policy analysis (multi-discipline levels available).

  • Knowledge of Congressional processes, national security law, and IC mission priorities.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting ODNI, IC, or DoD legislative and legal operations.

  • Advanced degree (JD, LLM, or Master’s in Public Policy/Political Science).

  • Familiarity with intelligence oversight committees and regulatory compliance frameworks.
