SUMMARY OF POSITION 

 

Responsible for commercial contracts, M&A, and corporate matters.

 

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

 

Associate Director, Legal Affairs is a member of the Legal Department, reporting to the Vice President, Legal Affairs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:

  • Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, development & license agreements, asset purchase agreements, and service agreements. 
  • Engaging in all aspects of mergers & acquisitions (M&A), including due diligence and contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Assisting with corporate matters, including inter-company, lender, and credit agreements, and Company organization.
  • Opportunity to assist with other legal and compliance tasks, as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Juris Doctorate, eligible for NJ in-house counsel license.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience practicing at a law firm or as in-house counsel (pharmaceutical industry experience preferred).
  • Ability to spot and analyze legal issues, make independent decisions and exercise independent judgment in performance of duties consistent with instructions and oversight by supervisor.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders across the Company and to perform tasks in compliance with applicable law and ethical rules.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $185,000. This position is eligible for Alvogen’s annual discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package, consisting of medical and prescription drug coverage (two PPO plans and an HDHP with Health Savings Account and employer contribution), dental, vision, flexible spending accounts. Alvogen’s benefits package also includes a retirement savings program, long-term care coverage, paid time off (176 hours per year, prorated to hire date) inclusive of sick time, disability benefits, life insurance, a wellness program, and 13 company recognized paid holidays per year.
