The Trial Graphics Consultant is an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team and will be responsible for providing graphics-related support necessary for arbitrations, hearings, and trials, while providing on-site and remote graphics support to the firm’s attorneys, paralegals, clients, and staff. This role will be located in either our New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., or Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Working with the legal teams and Trial Technology Consulting team to discuss and define graphic support requirements, as well as transform complex legal concepts into clear and persuasive visuals
- Coordinating with Practice Support Services and Technology to obtain access to client-matter databases, images, videos, and other files for use in the creation of graphics
- Collaborating with the Manager of Enterprise Applications for Events and Trials to liaise with third-party vendors when external resources are required (e.g., creation of specialized graphics and animations, etc.)
- Providing in-person support at arbitrations, hearings, trials, and other various projects
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies in graphic design and legal visualization
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Display advanced knowledge of design software, including the Adobe Master Suite (expert-level)
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to proof graphics for accuracy and quality, as well as provide advice and recommendations to attorneys
And have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, preferably a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design or a related field
- Certification in one or more of the following: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, or Microsoft PowerPoint, preferably
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience working on legal graphics and familiarity with legal concepts and terminology
- A minimum of two (2) years of graphic design experience
- A minimum of two (2) years of law firm, legal vendor, or related practice experience, preferably
