Responsibilities:
Prepare documents, assist in drafting and editing (redlining) agreements and related documents, and ensure that issues are escalated.
Act as the point of contact for agreements and contract status updates and provide ad hoc support to business clients (e.g., rights management analysis).
Maintain department trackers, coordinate approval processes and update contract databases.
Provide administrative support (e.g., maintenance of calendars, copying, filing, phone coverage)
Work with other paralegals to support the broader Legal team in a team-centric approach as needed.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Required Education and/or Experience:
5+ years of experience as a Paralegal/Legal Administrator in a corporate legal department or law firm in a contracts/transactional support role.
Strong PC/Word Processing skills including MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel; ability to work with Workshare would be a plus.
Able to prioritize in a dynamic, exciting, fast-paced working environment, frequently under urgent deadlines.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and written and verbal communications skills (including spelling and grammar).
Self-motivated, proactive and detail oriented.
High level of professionalism/confidentiality and ability to deal courteously and professionally with internal and external clients of all levels.
Willing and able to work overtime as required based on business need.
Preferred Qualifications
Paralegal certificate
CT Notary Public certification (active)
Media/IP work experience.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree but comfortable in paralegal role.
