- Job Responsibilities
Assist the Deputy Director of Legal and Compliance (DDLC) and Assistant Deputy Director of Legal and Compliance (ADDLC) in planning, implementing and directing legal services for SCDC.
Maintain executive staff calendar and provide admin support.
Investigate, review and provide solutions with problem areas.
Serves as the human resources liaison for the office of DDLC.
Consult with other Deputy Director Offices, Wardens, and other state agencies.
Complete confidential assignments and maintain spec. correspondence reports as assigned.
Monitor and prepare fiscal budget activities.
Compose correspondence, court documents, meeting minutes, compile data and prepare reports.
Manage the automated request to staff system and prepare responses for office of DDLC and areas under its purview.
Attend meetings with or on behalf of the DDLC and prepare minutes.
Serve as RIM liaison for office of DDLC and areas under its purview.
Facilitate internal processes for procurement, contract management and RFP processes.
Ensure that DocuSign is managed in a timely manner.
Position will have daily contact with inmates.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for required work experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
A bachelor's degree with six (6) months supervisory experience and one (1) year relevant experience.- Additional Comments
