Job Description

Summary Description: 
Harrison LLP, a national law firm specializing in private wealth planning, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for managing incoming payments, properly recording financial transactions, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer account records. This role ensures timely application of payments and works closely with other finance team members to support the company’s cash flow and financial reporting objectives.
 
Reports to: Accounting Manager
 
Responsibilities:
  • Deposit checks.
  • Record electronic payments.
  • Allocate payments to clients.
  • Take payments via telephone.
  • Receive and record trust payments.
  • Backup responsibilities for Accounts Payments.
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
  • Ensure consistent professionalism and courtesy in all client interactions, fostering positive relationships while maintaining respect and confidentiality.
  • Other data entry tasks/projects assigned by the Accounting Manager.

Required Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of accounts receivable experience within a law firm.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • In-depth understanding of payment types and payment technology.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance.
  • Proficiency with Aderant software.
Physical Activity: The employee will be required to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer.

Base Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000 annually. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors including but not limited to experience and training, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This role will also be eligible for an annual discretionary variable incentive bonus.
