Law Office of David I. Karp, PLLC is a small, well-established estate planning law firm in Tucson, Arizona, dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality service to our clients. We’re seeking an experienced Probate/Trust Administration Paralegal to join our friendly, team-oriented environment and to fulfill our mission of providing peace of mind to our clients. As a key member of our firm, you’ll play a critical role in assisting attorneys with managing probate cases and offering clients supportive, knowledgeable experience throughout the probate process.

Position Overview:
As a Probate/Trust Administration Paralegal, you will provide vital support to our attorneys in all aspects of estate administration, including the probate process, handling wills and assets, and ensuring the timely progression of cases. You’ll work closely with clients, courts, and other professionals to help facilitate the administration of estates and trusts under the supervision of a licensed attorney. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy. This position has a billable hour requirement, which will be discussed during the interview process. This is a full-time, in-office position.

Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Client intake and case management, maintaining accurate case files.
  • Gather necessary information from clients, including financial records, beneficiaries, and asset details, to initiate probate proceedings.
  • Organize, analyze, and manage estate assets.
  • Prepare inventories, asset allocation documents, and agreements.
  • Research, draft, and file various court documents.
  • Interface with clients, estate/trust beneficiaries, heirs, creditors, and related parties.


Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a probate paralegal in a professional office.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college education preferred).
