Abramson Labor Group is seeking a highly motivated, well-qualified Sr. Associate Attorney to join our Workers’ Compensation team. Sr. Associates will report directly to a Managing Partner and are supported substantively and administratively by a large team of paralegals and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a docket of Workers' Compensation cases to resolution
- Depositions:
- Preparing client for deposition
- Attending depositions
- Invoicing Depositions
- Mentorship:
- Assisting associates with settlement, legal and case management system (Actionstep) questions.
- Case Re-Evaluations:
- Authorizing settlement below initial floor
- Advising on increased demand when live negotiations are required
- Responding to client inquiries that require attorney negations and moving matters towards resolution
- Responsive to incoming emails and phone calls
- Providing direction and guidance to non-attorneys as needed
- Trial participation as needed
- Attending hearings when an attorney’s presence is needed
- Assting associates with challenging client interactions
- Team Player:
- Bringing positivity to the workplace and leading non-attorneys by example
- Participation in team events during work and after work hours
- Providing feedback to management to ensure ALG performs the best it can for our clients
- Other duties as assigned by managing partner and/or operations manager
- Comfortable with fast-paced work environments
- 5+ Years of Workers’ Compensation experience required
- Doctors' deposition experience required
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Candidates must be in good standing with the California State Bar
